Our little family of five finally ventured to Oregon for a family reunion, and overall 10 day trip for all things fun. We tent camped half the trip, and decided to townhome the final days… because Tetris packing the truck is only fun twice.
Family was loved hard (Ry met my entire side FINALLY, and clicked instantly), the ocean was seen for the first time, our bikes were stolen, and lots of adult beverages consumed… but in the midst of it all we undoubtedly became closer. Maybe it was the 12-13 hour drive, or maybe it was the salt water + sand on our Montana feet.
My heart surely grew fonder of Oregon, and burst at the seams for my Birgensmith family… but dang it feels good to be home. Wide open skies, pine trees, and not 100,000 people on the roads. Helllooooo Flathead Valley, my beautiful safe haven, we sure missed you.
