The Global Guardian Project.
In the spirit of running with our latest Eco-Minimalism Post, we’ve also made the decision to become Global Guardians.
What does it mean to become a Global Guardian, who are they?
“We are a tribe of parents, educators, activists and artists who share a common goal. We want to raise our children to become guardians of our planet, to be inspired and empowered to care for the Earth in a way we adults haven’t. It’s no secret that we’ve created a mess. But we can do something about it today, while our children are young, that will teach them that proper care for our Earth is our duty and within our reach.
It’s Global Guardian Project’s mission to create learning tools for families to just that. To educate children on how to care for the earth. To inspire them to make simple, daily changes that will become positive habits. And to challenge them to become free thinkers and little change makers.” – Creators of the GGP
Yes, perfect! Sounds great… now what are the details?!
The Global Guardian Project is a monthly subscription service that helps parents educate their children on how to respect and protect their planet. Each month parents receive resources and tools including: DIY projects, interviews, reviews and recommendations from people and organizations who are serious about change. With all the information and resources at their fingertips parents can feel confident about educating their children about an important topic that impacts us all! And, the best part– kids absolutely LOVE the format. Its a delicate balance of inspiration + action!
Why our family chose to be Global Guardians, and the importance of NOW.
A family of five consumes a ton. Yes – unfortunately that’s the new realization… and I’m bummed it took me SO long to get my head out of the sand.
In addition to our new recycling habits, and mental changes towards sustainability I felt it was important to not only make change, but EDUCATE my children on the WHY. For example, What animals are being effected by our waste, or consumption?! What about the different eco-systems, and what type of action plan can they (ages 6,3,1) complete to help offset this new disaster staring their adult hoods in the face?!
Being a part of the Global Guardian project makes finding all those answers EASIER for me, and takes the research time out of my day. Not only offering it in a beautiful format that entices my kids to WANT to learn, but backing all the beauty with simple, yet scientifically correct explanations.
I want to learn more, I want to be a part of the change!
The Global Guardian Project is a monthly subscription service. Monthly subscription cost is $14.99 a month and is automatically debited on the 15th of each month. You’ll be charged month by month and may cancel at ANY TIME, no questions asked.
